Create your TikTok app to track your models' followers, likes and views.

With your TikTok app, each model connects her account and Velora pulls her stats once a day: followers, likes and video views. The app is in your name, and TikTok reviews it once.

Before you start

  • An account on developers.tiktok.com.
  • The address of your Velora console.
  • Links to your terms of service and privacy policy, TikTok asks for them.
  • An icon for the app.
  • The Owner or Admin role in Velora.

Steps

  1. Create your app. On the developer portal, open Manage apps and create an app in your agency's name.
  2. Fill in the details. Add the name, icon, description, the Web platform, and links to your terms and privacy policy.
  3. Add the products. Add Login Kit and Display API.
  4. Tick the scopes. Turn on user.info.basic, user.info.stats and video.list.
  5. Paste the redirect URL. In the Login Kit settings, paste the URL shown in the Velora console, in the form https://<your-velora-domain>/api/webhooks/tiktok/callback.
  6. Submit the app for review. Send the app to TikTok and wait for approval. Until it's approved, only test accounts work.
  7. Copy the credentials. On your app's page, copy the Client key and the Client secret.
  8. Paste them into Velora. Fill in “Client key” and “Client secret”, then click Test. The secret is encrypted and won't be shown in full again.
  9. Each model connects her account. From the TikTok card, she logs in at TikTok and accepts.
  10. Read the stats the next day. Numbers update once a day.

If it doesn't work

  • “redirect_uri” error → copy the URL from the Velora console into Login Kit again.
  • The model can't connect → the app isn't approved by TikTok yet, or her account isn't a test account.
  • Empty stats → wait for the next day's update.
