Resend (email)
Send invitations from your agency's domain.
8 min
This connection is optional. With Resend, invitation emails go out from your own domain, for example team@your-domain.com, instead of Velora's address.
Before you start
- A domain name you own.
- Access to that domain's DNS settings, at your provider.
- The Owner or Admin role in Velora.
Steps
- Create your Resend account. Sign up on resend.com.
- Add your domain. Open Domains, click Add Domain and type your domain.
- Add the DNS records. Resend shows SPF and DKIM records. Copy them one by one into your provider's DNS settings. Add a DMARC record too, it's recommended.
- Verify the domain. Go back to Resend and run the check. The status should turn to “Verified”. It can take a few minutes to a few hours.
- Create an API key. Open API Keys, create a key named
Velorawith “Sending access” permission, limited to your domain. Copy it. - Paste the key into Velora. Fill in “API key” and “Sender address”, for example
team@your-domain.com. Click Test. The key is encrypted and won't be shown in full again. - Send yourself an invitation. Invite your own address to see the email arrive.
If it doesn't work
- Domain stuck pending → check each DNS record, one typo is enough to block it.
- Test fails → the key doesn't have “Sending access” or it's limited to another domain.
- Emails land in spam → add DMARC and give the domain time to build some history.
